Where to Stay
Baja Joe's

Our school operates out of Baja Joe’s hotel. This laid back resort is located in the heart of La Ventana and is near all the action. Perfect for kiteboarding, the awesome beach front location is the best spot to launch and land from. Baja Joe’s has everything you need, from the best coffee in the morning to micro brew in the evening. You will never want to leave.

What to Bring

For your lessons all you need to bring is your sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, your wetsuit (We suggest a 2 to 4 mil suit) and booties. We supply the rest of the equipment. If you want to rent a wetsuit or booties we have the latest gear available, and if you want to buy gear here, we have stock in our attached shop!

How to Get to La Ventana

There are two international airports close to La Ventana. La Paz is the closest and is a 45 minute drive away. This airport is a little smaller and does not have as many flights as San Jose del Cabo. San Jose is about 2 hours away from La Ventana and is bigger and has more flight options. This is the best airport to fly into if you are coming from Canada.

From both airports you can rent a car (Make sure to check their insurance policies and fees when booking), take a taxi or ask your hotel to arrange a shuttle for you. From San Jose, you can take a bus to La Paz and then taxi to La Ventana.

Or you might decide to make it a road trip and drive south. The Baja Highway 1 has a lot to offer with its gorgeous scenery.

Traveling tip!

Bring some US dollars and Pesos with you. It is not always easy to get cash in La Ventana and not all stores and restaurants take credit cards.

Forecast tip!

Forecasts do not always take thermal winds in consideration. Add about 10 mph to the forecast.
